Eastern Rosella
Platycercus eximius
There is a more northern sub species known as the Golden Mantled Rosellaas well as a number of other sub species within its habitat.
This parrot is probably the most famous of the Rosella family as it is used as the logo on the Rosella tomato sauce bottle. Arnotts have used the bird in the logo on their biscuit tins for over 100 years.
Of course, as do all Rosellas, if they get into the orchards, they create havoc. They are not in any way endangered.
